Nanzuka Gallery

Nanzuka is a contemporary art gallery hidden in the basement of a towering building in Shibuya. During my first visit they were displaying a collection of paintings and sculpture by the infamous Hajime Sorayama in a show titled “An actress is not a machine, but they treat you like a machine.” Modeled after Marilyn Monroe, they continued to explore his themes of machines and the human body. See website for latest exhibitions.
